Soccer star Jerome Boateng’s former girlfriend was found dead a week after he announced that they had split up, police said.
Kasia Lenhardt, who rose to fame after appearing in 2012 on Germany’s “Next Top Model,” was found dead in a home Tuesday by Berlin police. Investigators are not suspicious about her death, Bild said.
In the upscale city section of Charlottenburg, police said that Bild had found a “lifeless person,” and that Lenhardt had taken her life.
“Around 8:30 p.m. yesterday. There was a suicide suspected police operation in Charlottenburg,” police told the outlet in Berlin. “No third-party negligence indications exist.”
The outlet has reported that Lenhardt has survived a son. The child, Noah, is from Lenhardt’s previous relationship which ended three years ago.
The twenty-five-year-old began a date on February 2 – with Boateng, 32, confirmed the division of his close to seven-million Instagra followers in a posted post which had been deleted since that time, The Mirror reported.
“From now on we are going our separate paths,” the post reads. “It’s unfortunate, but it’s the only right one for my family and for me.”
Boateng also excused his children’s mother Rebecca, saying that he himself too was “deceived.”
“A man has to take responsibility and act in the interests of his family and I’m doing it now,” Boateng continued. “I wish Kasia all the best.”
The Polish native crashed last month, leading to a public spat, Boateng’s Mini Cooper. The study says Lenhardt, who supposedly tattooed “Jerome,” previously said that she had ended her relationship due to “lies and unbelief” from the winner of the World Cup.
Later she shared a snapshot of them and then deleted Instagram: “The devil is doing his best.”
On February 3 Lenhardt wrote in her final Instagram post: “Now you are drawing the line. Sufficient.”
Mate of Lenhardt, model fellow Sara Kulka, announced her death Wednesday in Instagram.
Kulka wrote, “Rest in peace.” “You wonderful person, I miss you and would have liked to say goodbye. I hope you find your peace now and I hope the truth comes out now, I know how much you wanted it to be.”
