On OLD BETHPAGE, Long Island (WABC), a small plane was found crashed on Long Island on Sunday afternoon. The plane crashed almost around 1 in the afternoon in Old Bethlage at about 1.5 miles from Republic Airport which is in East Farmingdale. According to the pilot, Crash happened due the the engine problems, as said by the FAA.
The pilot of that small plane, who is still unidentified, could survive thankfully. According to Nassau County Police, the pilot was flying alone, when the plane crashed down somewhere near the Old Bethpage solid waste disposal plant in the afternoon
There’s no such news yet about the pilot, like if he got any injuries or major damages. Further details about the circumstances weren’t released, however, the site of the crash is about two miles from Republic Airport.
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino shared a photo of firefighters and officers on the scene — and also confirmed that the pilot survived. “The pilot (no passengers) is alive thankfully,” he wrote on Facebook.
