Nearly three other people in the jewellery store have also fallen sick since then, though it is not yet confirmed if they have the UK variant or the other one, Cuomo said.
The person tested positive was asked if he had traveled recently, to which he said had No, which further means that he contracted the Covid strain from another yet person who is unidentified yet within the community, Cuomo said.
The governor Cuomo also said that approximately 5,000 tests for the variant have been conducted, which includes downstate. There are no such positive results yet.
