Although Addison Rae has been temporarily banned from TikTok, fans can expect to see a lot more of her on Snapchat in the near future.
The 21-year-old social media sensation has signed a deal with Facebook to star in her own unscripted series, “Addison Goes Home.”
According to Variety, the show will follow Rae as she returns to her home state of Louisiana for the first time since moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in show business.
The Lafayette native will introduce viewers to the Bayou State’s cultural quirks, and she will most likely meet up with members of her family.
Other information about the original series is scarce. The duration and number of “episodes” are unknown, as is the frequency with which they will be released on Snapchat.
The agreement was announced on Monday. Rae has 16 million Snapchat followers. She is far more well-known on TikTok, where she has 85.2 million followers.
With the new deal, Snapchat may be attempting to entice Rae’s fans away from TikTok, one of its main competitors.
Other unscripted shows with big names are also being produced by the company. NBA superstar Stephen Curry will mentor the next generation of basketball players in a Snap series, while boxer Ryan Garcia will host his own show about mental health issues.
Addison Rae, meanwhile, has returned to TikTok after a brief suspension last week.
The reason for the star’s removal from her favorite social media site is still unknown, but internet sleuths believe it was because she posted a video in which she panned the camera toward her clothed derriere.
Rae first tweeted a screenshot of a TikTok message stating that she had been banned “due to multiple violations of our Community Guidelines.” Her account, on the other hand, was up and running again in less than 24 hours.
With mixed results, the influencer has attempted to use her social media platform to launch a career as a Hollywood actress.
Despite the fact that her most recent Netflix film, “He’s All That,” was critically panned, she signed a multi-film deal with the streaming giant after the film soared to the top of the streaming giant’s most-watched list.
Despite her ambitions to be a Hollywood actress, Rae’s new deal with Snapchat shows she has no plans to abandon social media anytime soon.
